JOSHUA SOLOMON, Founder and Director
Josh did his undergraduate studies at Bucknell University and attended Emory Medical school in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at University of Texas Southwestern in 2001. After spending the next year in Viet Nam, he returned to the University of Colorado for a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. During that time he did research on rheumatoid arthritis-induced lung disease and the effects of age on scar formation in the lung. After finishing the fellowship he returned to Viet Nam full-time to expand the scope of the foundation. He is responsible for the management of the foundation as well as project design and patient care.

NANCY NGUYEN, Co-Director
Nancy received her doctoral training from the Oregon School of Oriental Medicine in 2011. She has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine since graduating from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine with her master's of science in 2006. Nancy's specializations include internal medicine, pain management, and women's health. She currently practices with the Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Colorado Hospital and in her own private practice at Fusion Health Acupuncture. She helps manage the direction of the foundation and is our representative in America, managing public relations and fundraising. She currently lives in Denver, Colorado and returns to Viet Nam frequently.

Jess earned a degree in Engineering and an advanced degree in Computer Science before entering the computer industry. After a few years, he founded his own company specializing in business software. He managed and directed this company as it continued to grow for 27 years. In 2004, he merged his company with another and retired. In the last few years, he has been an advisor to various companies in the areas of growth and strategic direction. His extensive background in business, finance and management are being utilized by the foundation as it experiences growth by expanding its projects and adding personnel.

HAYLEY TRISTRAM, Program Management Coach
Hayley trained as a nurse at the Launceston General Hospital, Tasmania. While working as a registered nurse in a range of settings, including acute nursing, aged care and pain management, she completed two bachelor degrees in Social Science and Psychology. Since then she has worked as a counsellor, community development worker and trainer specializing in chronic disease, women's health and sexual health. More recently she has been a Health Promotion Consultant with the Tasmanian Health Department. She has a personal and professional passion for capacity building and growing communities with a commitment to sustainable change. She was therefore drawn to VNHIP's mission to improve the healthcare in central Viet Nam. She brings to the VNHIP team extensive experience in health promotion, project planning and management. She is here in Vietnam with her husband Marc and 2 children, Lilli (8) and Flloyd (7).

Brian graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 2004 and completed training in Family Medicine at Boston university in 2007. He is currently employed as Assistant Inpatient Director for Clinical Education at Boston Medical Center/Boston University Department Family Medicine. Brian assists our work by providing and coordinating our medical services as one of our medical liaisons and he also takes part in direct patient care. He returns to Hoi An many times a year

NGUYEN THI THU QUYNH, Project Manager
Quynh earned her Business and Tourism degree at Da Nang University in 2009. Previously, she was employed as a receptionist at a local hotel. Wanting to improve her English and branch out to help people in need, she joined the Hoi An Foundation in May 2009. Initially, Quynh assisted us with our administration work. However as her English improved, she began assisting with translating for visiting western staff and health education for our patients. She enjoys the challenges of working with an NGO and has become a valuable member of our team.

LE THI HOANG YEN, Project Manager
Yen earned her degree in Economics in Da Nang, Viet Nam. Her family is from outside of Hue City. She used to work for a restaurant in Hoi An and a travel company. She wanted to have more impact on her community and joined us at the Hoi An Foundation. She is learning quickly and now is managing our HIV and Cardiac Projects.

TRAN THI MY, Project Manager
My graduated with a Geological Degree in HCMC University of Natural Sciences. She worked as a Manager at a Laboratory in Danang for a Construction company before changing her direction to pursue a career with NGOs in Hoi An. She is happy to be part of VNHIP as the work will allow her to contribute to her community and make a difference.

GILLIAN EBORN, Marketing and Communications Volunteer
Gillian is a self-funded volunteer from Sydney, Australia. She has extensive experience in not-for-profit marketing and communications in Australia and Switzerland, and holds a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from the University of Technology Sydney. Gillian is working closely with our project staff in Hoi An to help VNHIP increase its social media presence and launch our Children Living with HIV sponsorship programme.

Luu Phuoc went to Hue College of Sciences in Hue, Vietnam and graduated with a degree in chemistry and chemical analysis. She worked for some time with the Institute of Material Sciences as a laboratory technician. She spent time as a public health officer in the Public Health Center in Hoi An and as an office manager with the Thu Thuy Silk Company. She works full time for the Hoi An Foundation. She manages the health care projects of the foundation and directs the Heart Program. Her responsibilities include project design and implementation as well as coordination with local officials. She also takes part in direct patient care. She lives in Hoi An, Viet Nam.
